Work permits & visas

End-to-end work permit and visa handling for the employee and their family. We manage the application, authority communication, appointments and follow-ups, and keep everyone updated on status the whole way.

Eligibility checks at hiring stage

Fast yes/no answers on whether a candidate can legally work in a given country, so hiring keeps moving. Covers hard-to-place roles and gives candidates their own info page and intro call with Elva before they sign.

Document preparation & expert guidance

We help the employee prepare and review every document needed along the way, for registration, housing, banking or family permits. Unlimited access to a dedicated local expert throughout. Spouse and family cases fully covered.

Flight travel coordination

Employees browse and book flights inside the agreed budget and your travel policy, directly on the Elva platform. Full visibility on bookings and costs, all consolidated onto a single invoice. No expense reports, no reimbursements.

Household goods shipping

Packing, shipping and delivery of household goods through vetted moving partners, from express air freight to full container by sea. We handle quotes, customs paperwork, insurance and scheduling on one invoice.

Tax support

Cross-border moves come with real tax questions: residency, dual filing, equity and bonuses, year of arrival or departure. Elva connects the employee with qualified tax advisors in both origin and destination countries and coordinates the process.

Temporary accommodation

Most employees need about a month of temporary housing before finding a permanent home. We source and book quality furnished accommodation through our partner network at negotiated rates, from day one, on a single consolidated bill.

Local registration & ID assistance

After arrival the employee needs to register with local authorities to get a national ID or tax number and register their address. These unlock banking, healthcare and payroll. We book appointments in the right order and prep the employee for each one.

Bank account setup

We guide the employee through the local process end-to-end and, through our partner banks, can speed it up materially. A local account is usually the gateway to digital identity and most public services, so we prioritise it early.

Tax & social security registration

Local tax registration is required before payroll can start; social security registration unlocks the public health and benefits system. Elva supports the employee through both applications and appointments, submitted correctly and on time.

Ongoing support & renewals

Relocation doesn't end on day one. The employee keeps their dedicated Elva contact for probation extensions, permit renewals, family additions and questions months later, so knowledge doesn't disappear when HR contacts move on.

Settling-in support

Beyond paperwork: public transport, healthcare, SIM cards, communities, things to do. Our platform includes a full resource hub for the destination, and our local experts are on call for personalised tips.

Permanent housing search

First we help the employee narrow down which areas fit their lifestyle and commute, then we guide them through the local rental market: how it works, what to look for, contracts, utilities and insurance so they're fully set up.
